Bantayan Island Celebrates National Book Week

Bantayan Island. 24 November 2009 —  For the first time, Bantayan Island joins in the national observance of the National Book Week  with the  theme  “Kaaya-ayang Magbasa sa Kapaligirang Kay Ganda.”  The activity kick-off  today with a book character parade participated by 7 national high schools and 11 elementary schools from the municipalities of Bantayan, Madridejos and Santa Fe.

The event is spearheaded by the Bantanyan Island Association of School Teacher-Librarians (BIASTL).

284 Pass Librarian Board Exam

The Professional Regulation Commission announces that 284 passed the Librarian Licensure Examination given by the Board of Librarians in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao,Legazpi & Zamboanga this November 10 & 11, 2009. The members of the Board for Librarians who gave the licensure examination are Corazon M. Nera, Chairman; Elizabeth R. Peralejo and Elnora L.
