Bantayan Island Celebrates National Book Week

Bantayan Island. 24 November 2009 — For the first time, Bantayan Island joins in the national observance of the National Book Week with the theme “Kaaya-ayang Magbasa sa Kapaligirang Kay Ganda.” The activity kick-off today with a book character parade participated by 7 national high schools and 11 elementary schools from the municipalities of Bantayan, Madridejos and Santa Fe.
The event is spearheaded by the Bantanyan Island Association of School Teacher-Librarians (BIASTL).
